These are re-purposed valve Springs from a Dodge 440 engine. They have been fitted with a 3/8 nut by tack welding it to the the valve spring retainer and then retainer was tack welded to the spring. They were polished with a wire wheel brush and dipped in boiled linseed oil to prevent rusting, and preserve the dark rich look of the steel.
